I’m Shila Gnyawali from Nepal working as a Assistant Forest Officer under Department of Forests.
I had worked for six years in the field of Community Forestry. I’ve been working in the Leasehold Forestry and Livestock Program for one year. The program is supported by IFAD and worked for pro-poor. I’ve great intrest to work with poor people especially, poor women.
Right now, my major job responsibility is to prepare plan for leasehold program in coordination with District Forest Offices.
I am Forester by background, presently taking PhD in wood science in Sweden since 2006. I am an assistant Lecturer/Researcher at EDUARDO MONDLANE UNIVERSITY in Mozambique. I hope the training course will provide me an overview of global current forest researchagenda especially in developing countries like mine.
